Swoop Is In The Game

Swoop, a mascot of the South Bend Cubs, checks out a new reflecting telescope from AstroCamp.

This is Swoop, a representative from the South Bend Cubs Baseball Team, who evidently likes telescopes! We found him at the Century Center on Saturday, March 3, 2018, and he swooped in to check out the AstroCamp telescopes at the Summer Activities Expo.

Steve caught Swoop in mid-flight as he flitted from booth to booth. Linda did not get to see this action as she was busy helping children learn how the other identical telescope, just feet away, worked! We think a few of the many kids we talked to this day will be joining us this summer to use the 8" SkyWatcher reflecting telescopes FOR REAL out under Camp Eberhart's dark skies!
